Will I need a referral to start physical therapy?
No. You will be able to start your care without a PT referral. If a referral is needed for continued care, we will assist by communicating with your provider.
Wellness clients do not require a referral.
Do you accept my insurance?
At Re-Story, we have chosen to remain out-of-network with insurance companies so that we can provide the kind of care that truly serves your healing — not just what’s reimbursable on a checklist.
This allows us to spend more one-on-one time with you, focus on your unique goals instead of rushing to meet insurance billing requirements, and offer flexible, individualized care plans that support long-term recovery without worrying about authorization or visit limits.
Many insurance plans will reimburse you directly for out-of-network services, and we are happy to provide the paperwork needed for that process.
Will virtual visits work for me?
Clinical research has demonstrated that virtual physical therapy can be as effective as in-person care, while being more accessible. Without the need to transfer in and out of a car, drive, or exercise around other patients, many clients prefer virtual visits because the total time and energy cost will be much lower than attending in-person. If you are very fatigued, you can take the entire video call from your bed, couch, or recliner, and go on and off camera when needed. Within each visit, we will discuss your goals, assess your movement, and guide you through treatment in real time without the potential distractions or challenges of a busy clinic environment.
